At My Hustle My Fight, we believe in ethically-made and sourced apparel, fair wages and working conditions, and sustainable business practices. We will continue to challenge the unjust standards that plague the world of fast fashion today.
With consideration to the complex fashion industry connections, from raw material production, manufacturing and transportation, to advertising and retail, terms such as “ethical” or “sustainable” become broad and may mean different things to different people. In an effort for full transparency, we decided to offer our customers the following information and links about where our fabrics come from, so conscious decisions can be made.
Bella+Canvas makes our Tri-blend T-Shirts and Pullover Hoodies. All US production and office facilities have received Platinum accreditation from WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production), and all international facilities are in the process of getting WRAP certified.
American Apparel makes our Zip Hoodies. American Apparel is now owned by Gildan and, while it operates under Gildan's code of conduct, continues to maintain a rich history of sweat-shop-free manufacturing while respecting the environment, the planet, and the world we live in.
Gildan, and its affiliates, are WRAP certified and accredited by the Fair Labor Association (FLA). Gildan is also a member of SEDEX, a global organization that helps manage performance of labor rights, health & safety, the environment and business ethics. In the 2019 Ethical Fashion Report delivered by Baptist World Aid, Gildan received an overall grade of A- on labor rights and environmental management systems. The report grades companies from A+ to F based on the strength of their systems to mitigate against the risks of forced labor, child labor, and exploitation in their supply chains.
